The latest to hear is that the American car manufacturers, General Motor's Chevrolet are now all set to launch the LPG variant of the Beat in India by the mid of 2011. This new Chevrolet Beat LPG is currently in the final testing stage in the Indian conditions.

This new Chevrolet Beat LPG features a 1199cc, 4 Cylinder, LPG as well as Petrol engine that will provide a maximum power of about 79 Bhp @ 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of about 108 Nm @ 4400 rpm. This new Beat LPG, with a 5-speed manual transmission will give a maximum of 18 kmpl in the highways and about 15 kmpl in the cities.

This new Chevrolet Beat LPG contains a McPherson Strut, Compound Link Type suspension in it and the major plus points of this new Beat LPG are that of the Stylish Exteriors & Interiors, High Mileage and Value For Money where as the drawbacks are the Rear Door Opening Handle Placement and Chevrolet's Poor Reputation.

New 2011 Chevrolet Beat LPG is expected to be priced around Rs 4,50,000/-.
